Work on two burst mains in Clones may continue into tonight.
Crews are working to repair the burst water mains as quickly and as safely as possible and in line with COVID-19 protocols for customers in the Clones area and surrounds.
It was anticipated that the emergency repairs to the first water main would be fixed by early afternoon and to the second by later this evening however, latest updates indicate it may be tonight by the time work is completed.
Residents and businesses in these areas may experience outages, discolouration, and low water pressure with outages possible overnight as the system refills.
Peter Gallagher from Irish Water has asked people living and working in these areas to conserve water where possible.
