"Tourism is on the rise in Bailieboro."
That's according to Adam Pringle who is the Cultural & Tourism Officer Adam at The Bailieboro Bridewell.
The Bailieboro Bridewell Centre is a thriving community hub and provides a compelling insight into the history of Bridewells in 19th century Ireland.
Mr Pringle says there is a tourism element to a new mural which was recently completed which includes a sign post that points to various historical sites in the area.
He highlighted the importance of this with tourism on the rise not only in Bailieboro but across Co Cavan as a whole.
Jodie Curran has been speaking with the local cultural officer.
She began by asking him to explain more about the Bailieboro Bridewell and the history behind.
