Sinn Féin TD spoke to the Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill; about the possibility of bringing a CT scanner to Monaghan hospital in the Dáíl last month (November 21).
Furthermore, speaking in the Dáil last week, the Minister for Health said that Cavan and Monaghan hospitals operate as a single entity; with integrated managerial and governance systems.
Moreover, Deputy Carthy said that since he has become a TD, it has been a "battle a day" to get new services to Monaghan hospital.
