A Co Cavan group is on a mission to help combat loneliness.
Local woman Ann Marie Sexton started the 'Walkie, Talkie and Tea' initiative back in September to support people of all ages who suffer from loneliness or stress.
This is a non-profit community initiative set up to combat loneliness.
According to Ann Marie, loneliness doesn't just effect the elderly, it can impact anyone at any age or any stage of life.
Since it's inception the 'Walkie, Talkie and Tea' initiative has gone from strength to strength with new members joining every week.
The local group has also organised a Spring Gala which will take place at Hotel Kilmore on Sunday the 12th of April at 2pm.
Jodie Curran spoke with members Judith Nicholas, David Wynne and Jane Galligan about the event and how getting involved with the initiative has changed their lives.
