Former BOSE plant in Carrickmacross to hit the market. The former Bose Facility in Carrickmacross set to hit the market in the coming weeks.
The confirmation today to Northern Sound follows a meeting facilitated by Minister Niamh Smyth; the meeting included Enterprise Ireland officials along with her colleague Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, Cllr PJ O'Hanlon.
Minister Smyth said the focus of last week's meeting with officials in her department was to ensure that all support is given from the department to find a new owner for the former Bose facility in South Monaghan.
Cllr O'Hanlon and the local minister met with Interim CEO Kevin Sherry and Mark Christal, Head of Food and Sustainability.
The factory was officially opened in 2019 and was supported by Enterprise Ireland as they sought to establish an infant formula and nutrition powders manufacturer. That business never opened due to the being no longer viable due to inflation.
Cllr PJ O'Hanlon joined Ronan Gargan earlier today on the Wider View programme.
