Listen Back: Local musician Fintan McManus described as gifted person. Tributes have been pouring in following the death of renowned local musician Fintan McManus in recent days.
Mr McManus, of Railway Road, Belturbet, and formerly who was of Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh, passed away peacefully over the weekend.
Fintan had lived in Belturbet since the 1980s and was a very popular musician.
His funeral mass took place earlier today; he will be sadly missed by the traditional music community from across the region and beyond.
Martin Donohoe, from The Wind that Blows on Shannonside Northern Sound, says Fintan was a gifted man; and a very popular man with everyone that had the pleasure to meet him.
Martin Donohoe says he has some wonderful memories playing traditional Irish music nights with him across the county and he joined Ronan Gargan earlier to tell us more about the man that Fintan was.
