Furthermore, the draft plan outlines an ambitious five-year framework to protect, restore, and enhance the county’s rich and diverse natural environment.
Moreover, the plan proposes 50 targeted actions organised under 4 strategic themes.
Monaghan County Council is encouraging locals to share their thoughts on the draft plan.
Submissions are welcome from individuals, businesses, agencies, groups and organisations.
Patricia McCreesh is Monaghan County Council's biodiversity officer.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Patricia says nature and biodiversity are being impacted right here on our doorstep in Monaghan.
Patricia says we biodiversity and nature in order to have things like clean air and water, therefore people should be involved in how we go about restoring and protecting that.
