There was a mixed reaction from local people to the protests in Monaghan today.
Protestors from across the Northern Sound region remain in place at the Coolshannagh Roundabout in Monaghan Town.
The group assembled yesterday, through word of mouth and text group chats.

They gathered last night, and have been in place at the roundabout ever since.
Traffic approaching the roundabout is backed up from all directions, but protestors have been letting emergency vehicles through.
Speaking to Maitiu Monaghan at today's protest farmers highlighted why they are protesting.
