Listen Back: Peace project launched in Monaghan. The launch of a peace programme took place at Monaghan Peace Campus today.
PEACEPLUS is supporting this €2.08 million project, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Furthermore, it will see over 3,400 people from NI and the border regions of Ireland, benefit from grassroot projects. Moreover the projects include community leadership, community festivals and media initiatives.
Sorcha Burke spoke to Dr Kerry McCall Magan, Director Ireland, British Council about the programme. Minister of State for Community Development, Charities and Rural Transport, Government of Ireland, Jerry Buttimer was one of the keynote speakers at the event; and Chief Executive, Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), Gina McIntyre.
