The 'Gone But Not Forgotten' memorial garden planned for Clones is over.
That's according to Brian MacUaid from the Gone But Not Forgotten group which was first founded back in 1985.
A committee from the group had proposed a permanent memorial for bikers who have lost their lives in road traffic collisions.
Over the past four years the group has worked and fundraised to erect a permeant structure at the Marina.
Last month (February 2026), Monaghan County Council confirmed that following a presentation on the public consultation and survey for the proposed memorial in Clones, elected members decided not to proceed with Páirc Phobail Séamus Mac Cába as a location.
Brian joined Ronan Gargan to discuss in detail the plans that had been put forward and how disappointed the committee is over how the plans had been handled by the local authority and local representatives.
