Recreational enhancement works at the Black Island, Lough Muckno in Castleblayney are now complete.
The works carried out included upgrades to the existing gravel paths, new signage, installation of wooden seating as well as natural viewing features at rest points.

Last year, former local Minister Heather Humphreys announced funding of 500,000 euro for the local amenity.

Cllr Aidan Campbell said the completed works are a gamechanger for the area. Ronan Gargan met the local councillor earlier today at the popular local amenity.
