Tina who played Sharon Curley in The Snapper grew up in Cavan Town.
At the age of 17 when she moved to Mullingar, when asked where she is from, Tina says she would describe herself as someone who is from Cavan.
The early 1990s when she moved to Dublin was the turning point in her career through a lot of theatre and the start of her TV career as an actress. She says at the time there was very little television work in Ireland but Tina says she was very lucky to work on the popular film the Snapper that she described as a lovely production to be involved in.
The former Loreto Cavan student was one of six children of Bridget and John Kellegher. Tina comes from no acting lineage but from early on, Tina had a grá - and a talent, doing her first play in Loreto in Cavan.
For now, Tina Kellegher is back doing what she was born to do as Ger Lynch in Fair City and as she puts it, the industry never forgot her. Tina says Cavan was where it all began for her and she has been speaking to Ronan Gargan.
