UK TV personality Timmy Mallett has been exploring the beauty and heritage of the wider Clones area today and sharing colourful updates from his cycling journey online.
Travelling through what he described as Ireland’s “hidden heartlands”, Timmy said every leg of his trip has brought something new to admire.
Timmy tells us that he stayed in Clones last night and then got an opportunity to visit the Ulster Canal Stores in the town also.
During his visit, he toured around the town before heading for Belturbet later today and onto the Shannon Pot in Cavan on Friday.
Timmy says he loves Ireland and that this cycling tour along the Shannon will take him up to three weeks.
The former TV presenter also met with Clones man Shane McLaughlin who told Timmy all about his Guinness Records that he has achieved to date.
Timmy says he has received a wonderful welcome in the region when he spoke to Ronan Gargan at the Clones Marina
