Vandalism in the Sliabh Beagh area strongly condemned. Cllr Pauric Clerkin has strongly condemned the recent act of vandalism at the Sliabh Beagh area. The vandalism destroyed the fencing and information boards at the picnic benches. Furthermore, the picnic benches are beside the historic Penal Cross.
"This is a disgraceful and senseless act that shows no respect for our local heritage or community spaces," said Cllr Clerkin. Moreover, Cllr Clerkin believes "Sliabh Beagh is a place of cultural, historical, and recreational importance. The destruction of facilities meant for the enjoyment of families, walkers, and visitors is deeply disappointing."
The local councillor spoke to Ronan Gargan earlier today on the issue.
