More Gardaí are needed in Co Monaghan to deal with rising crime rates. That's according to Cllr Seamus Treanor who has called on the Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee and Garda Commissioner, Drew Harris to provide much-needed resources to the Cavan Monaghan Garda Division.
Speaking to the Wider View this week, the local councillor said there has been a spate of robberies from houses, farm yards and builders in Monaghan over the last few months. First thought, he highlighted the devastation experienced by one family he knows who returned home to a ransacked house.
