Emyvale snatch victory at the death

Emyvale to meet Munterconnaught in the Ulster JFC semi-final

Emyvale scored a one point victory over Carnadonagh sees Emyvale through to the Ulster jumnior semi-finals.

A Danny McMahon goal after nine minutes put Emyvale into a one point lead.

Whereas, points from Niall McKenna moved Emyvale into a four point lead.

A Carnadonagh goal after 16 minutes reduced the Emyvale lead to one. However, it was McKenna again who along with Matthew Finn added further points as Emyvale took a one point lead to the break.

At half-time Emyvale lead 1-7 to 1-6. Second-half points from Karl Gallagher, Niall McKenna, Aidan McKenna and Stephen Askin had Emyvale in a healthy position.

Indeed, Carnadonagh struck in the first minute of injury time with a goal, having been awarded a penalty.

With additional time played, Emyvale were awarded a free and upped stepped Niall McKenna to calmly slot his free over the Carnadonagh crossbar.

Emyvale advance to the provincial semi-finals where they will now face Munterconnaught.
