Kingscourt Stars opened their Cavan senior football campaign with a one point win over Cavan Gaels.
Michael Gargan stared for Kingscourt in the first scoring six points including two 2-pointers as Kingscourt led 12-points to eight at half-time.
However, Gaels rallyed well in the second-half, coming back from seven points down to trail by one point in the final minute. Indeed, Kingscourt winning out 2o-points to 19.
