I was so sorry to hear of Olive’s passing. The Oliver family remember her with much affection. I recall her kindness and generosity when the whole Oliver clan would descend on Oakland Avenue to visit Aunt Ruth and Olive. When I was a bit older I remember enjoying staying overnight at Glenmillan Drive, and savouring Olive’s lovely cooking and baking. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. I’m very glad I was able to visit her last September when I was home from New Zealand. She had been in the nursing home for only a week or two at that point and seemed pretty happy. As the preacher at the Bangor service said, she never talked about herself and was only interested in enquiring after our family and friends. I know her extended family will miss her very much. My sincere condolences to you all.
