Approval has been given for upgrade works at a local hospital. The HSE applied to Cavan County Council to carry out electrical infrastructure upgrade works on the campus at Cavan General Hospital. Plans include the construction of 2 new substation buildings, one of which comprises an associated compound and a containerised generator. The 2nd substation building also includes a new water tank, pumphouse, new oil tank, and a gas compound with 4 gas tanks. County planners approved the HSE's application with 3 conditions attached.
