The Dáil will debate a motion later calling on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine and respect internationally recognised borders.
The government motion also calls on Vladimir Putin to reverse the decision to recognise the "so-called independence" of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The motion says all nations should resolve disputes peacefully and commits 10 million euro in humanitarian aid to the Ukraine Humanitarian Response Plan.
