Harris "strongly" considering making complaint against Matt Carthy

Simon Harris says he is 'strongly' considering making a complaint against Sinn Fein TD Matt Carthy for what he says is a misuse of Dail privilege.

During an unsuccessful no-confidence motion last night on foreign affairs minister Simon Coveney, the Sinn Fein TD claimed the higher education minister leaked confidential information from cabinet.

Simon Harris says he is thinking about complaining to the Dáil procedures committee.

Fine Gael Junior Minister Peter Burke says Sinn Fein should go to the gardaí if they believe there's been a leak at Cabinet.

Speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, Deputy Carthy defended what he said.
