A total of 154 properties have been granted planning permission in Co. Monaghan, up to the end of April 2026.
That's according to figures released by Monaghan County Council this week.
In 2025, there was a total of 456 properties that received planning permission, including 290 houses excluding one-off houses, 58 apartments, and 108 one-off houses.

Up to April of this year 78 houses excluding one-off housing, 30 apartments, and 46 one-off houses received planning permission in Co. Monaghan.
According to Monaghan County Council, 44 of these properties were in the Carrickmacross / Castleblayney MD, 48 were in Ballybay / Clones MD, and 16 were in Monaghan MD.
