A local councillor has raised concerns over delays in planned footpath works on Adelaide Road, Shercock Road.

Cllr Adrian Roger noted that funding of €50,000 was approved in 2023 under the Active Travel programme for a new footpath in the area.

The councillor says there has been little progress since then and warned that there is a trip hazard near the site of former petrol pumps.

He highlighted an incident where a woman reportedly fell and broke her arm after tripping at the location.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Rogers outlined the issue.
