Local winners announced at national awards ceremony

There were success stories for businesses across the Northern Sound region at last night's Irish Restaurant Awards.

Each category had a provincial winner, as well as a national recipient.

Snaffles Restaurant at Castle Leslie Estate won the award for best hotel and guesthouse restaurant in Ulster.

Nevin Maguire's MacNean House and Restaurant won the title for best restaurant in Ulster

While, Chilli Lounge in Cavan Town took home the provincial title for best world cuisine.

The ceremony took place at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road in Dublin
