Fine Gael's T.P. O'Reilly has been elected Chair of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District.
He was elected unopposed this morning to replace Independent councillor Shane P. O'Reilly.
At today's AGM Councillor Shane P. O'Reilly was praised for his work and dedication to the area.
The incoming Cathaoirleach T.P. O'Reilly complemented Councillor Shane P. O'Reilly's tenure over the past 12 months especially for hosting the monthly meetings in different locations which in turn opened the meetings to the wider community.

Councillor Trevor Smith was elected Leas-Cathaoirleach for the next 12 months.
Meanwhile, Councillor Cathy Bennett has been elected as Cathaoirleach of Monaghan Municipal District earlier today at their AGM also.

Councillor Raymond Aughey has been elected as Leas-Cathaoirleach for the Monaghan Town Municipal area.
While Fianna Fáil’s Clifford Kelly was elected as new chairman of the Bailieborough-Cootehill Municipal District in recent days
Aontú councillor Sarah O’Reilly was elevated to the position of Leas-Cathaoirleach to the district.
