Cavan General Hospital is one of three hospitals in the country to have no vacant general or critical care beds.

The HSE Daily Operations Update shows that as of last night, showed one other hospital had no vacant general beds, while six had no critical care spaces.

The latest Covid-19 acute hospital operation reports show the Mercy Hospital in Cork and Our Ladies in Navan are the other facilities along with Cavan to have no vacant beds in either General or Critical Care.

The Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore and Mullingar Regional Hospital are the local hospitals that had no critical care beds last night.

Portiuncula and Sligo both have one critical care bed, with two and 15 general beds respectively.

There are four general beds in Tullamore and six in Mullingar.

There are 24 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Critical Care Units in local hospitals, and two suspected cases.

1531 confirmed Covid-19 cases were in Irish hospitals as of 8 o’clock last night.
