Gardaí in Cavan / Monaghan have posted a picture of a crashed van on social media to indicate what they are calling "the effects of drink driving".
The image, which was posted in the early hours of yesterday morning, shows a blue van crashed and coming to a stop at a speed limit sign in the Clones area. Significant damage was caused to the front of the van, losing headlights and bumper.
According to Gardaí, no other vehicles were involved in the incident and no injuries were reported this time. Using the hashtags "Arrive Alive" and "Dont Drink Drive", local Gardaí are urging local drivers to refrain from stepping into their vehicle to drive after drinking alcohol.
