A cyclist in her 70s died following the collision with  a car at Tullyard close to Monaghan Town at twenty past 1 yesterday afternoon.

The passenger of the car - a man in his 20s - died from his injuries.

'Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward'

26 year old Colm Tully died in the collision.

The road remains closed this afternoon.
